THIS is intended for those who plan to visit Bohol, an island paradise that is also rich in history and cultural heritage. It was originally meant to be published as an information book for tourists, but since publishing costs a lot and entails a lot of legwork to get advertisers to foot the printing bills, the author has decided to  put it out as a blog, hoping to get potential tourists visiting the site and browsing for information.

A lot of tourism sites these days pay little attention to matters that only concern the physical environment. Thus we find in these sites abundant information on beaches, resorts, diving sites, trekking sites and the like, neglecting to write about Bohol's history and culture, subjects that make the island province stand out as a tourist destination. What makes Bohol as one of a kind is its history and culture, features that seem to be lacking in other tourist destinations.
